What is the AI HDRI Generator?

It is a browser tool in Hyper3D's OmniCraft suite that turns a text prompt or a reference image into a seamless 360° panorama, previews it as a skybox in a live 3D viewer, and exports an 8K pack with HDR .exr and depth files.

What inputs does it accept?

You can type a prompt describing the HDRI you want, optionally add a style description, or upload / drag-and-drop an image file up to 10 MB. Prompt and image are alternative starting points — pick whichever fits your workflow.

How long does a generation take?

A preview typically takes around 30 seconds. If servers are busy, the tool shows your queue position and an estimated wait, then streams progress live while the panorama builds.

What exactly is in the download?

Each unlocked task downloads as a zip named after the task, containing hdr_high.png (the 8K panorama), hdr.exr (high-dynamic-range lighting) and depth.png (the panoramic depth map).

Is the HDRI Generator free?

The tool is free to try — generating and regenerating previews costs nothing. Unlocking the 8K/HDRI/Depth pack is free for subscribers and costs 1 credit for regular members. You need a Hyper3D account to open the generator.

Can I inspect a skybox before unlocking it?

Yes. Every preview loads into a full-screen 360° viewer you can drag to look around; it auto-rotates when idle and includes a mirrored sphere so you can check lighting and reflections first.

What if I don't like the result?

Hit Regenerate on any card and the task re-runs with the same prompt, replacing the preview. You can iterate as many times as you need before unlocking.

What resolution and format is the output?

Skyboxes are seamless equirectangular panoramas in the standard 2:1 aspect ratio. Previews generate quickly at sketch quality; unlocking upgrades the task to the 8K panorama plus the .exr and depth files.

Where do my generations live?

Everything is saved to My Gallery inside the tool. You can filter by All, Preview, Generating and Generated, scroll through past tasks, reopen any skybox in the viewer, and download unlocked packs again.
